Greenshaw High School – 11 Plus Admissions
How to Apply for 11 Plus (11+) Entry to Greenshaw High School?
Applications to sit the entrance exam must be made on the school website over the summer before your child begins Year 6. You can register here.
You must also formally apply for a place at the school before midnight on the 31st of October (when your child is in Year 6) to be considered. You can find out more about applying for secondary schools in your local area here.
Is Greenshaw High School part of a Consortium?
While not part of an official consortium of schools, Greenshaw High School shares the Selective Eligibility Test (SET) with Sutton Grammar School, Nonsuch High School for Girls, Wallington County Grammar School, Wallington High School for Girls and Wilson’s School.
Does Greenshaw High School have a catchment area?
Greenshaw High School does not have a catchment area. However, if the school is oversubscribed, places are offered based on proximity to Greenshaw High School, measured in a straight line from your home address.
How Does Place Allocation Work?
Where qualifying applications exceed the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:
Looked after children or children who were previously looked after.
Children with exceptional medical reasons or exceptional social reasons for attendance at this school rather than any other. (Evidence will be required).
Children of permanent staff who have been employed at the school for two or more years.
Up to 60 places will be given fully based on the outcome of the SET, to those who score the highest.
Siblings of students currently at the school at the time of admission.
The remaining places will be offered on the basis of proximity to Greenshaw, measured in a straight line from the child’s home address to the school.
