How Does Place Allocation Work?

Where qualifying applications exceed the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:

  1. A looked after child or previously looked after child who pass the entrance exam.

  2. Children with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) who pass the entrance exam.

  3. Up to 30 places will be made available to applicants in receipt of pupil premium, who have achieved up to 5 marks below an eligible score and are living in the catchment area.

  4. Applicants living at a permanent home address within the 12.5 mile priority area of the school who pass the entrance exam.

  5.  All remaining places will be allocated in descending score order from the ranked list of applicants irrespective of where they permanently live until all places are filled.
