Other Exam information
Students will sit two 60-minute papers.
Both exams are multiple-choice with a separate answer sheet.

How to Apply for 11 Plus (11+) Entry to Queen's School?
Applications to sit the entrance exam must be made on the school website over the summer before your child begins Year 6. You can register here.
You must also formally apply for a place at the school before midnight on the 31st of October (when your child is in Year 6) to be considered. You can find out more about applying for secondary schools in your local area here.
Is Queen's School part of a Consortium?
Queen's School is part of the South West Herts Consortium which consists of Croxley Danes, Parmiter’s School, Queens’ School, Rickmansworth School, St Clement Danes School, Watford Grammar School for Boys and Watford Grammar School for Girls.
Does Queen's School have a catchment area?
Queen's School has a catchment area which gives priority on location and distance from the school. The following postcodes are given priority: WD3-7, WD17-19, WD23-25, AL2 (south of M25), HA6, HA5 3**, HA5 4**, HA3 6**, HA7 3**, HA7 4**.
However, entry to the school is based firstly on the scores achieved in the 11+ tests.
How Does Place Allocation Work?
Where qualifying applications exceed the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:
Children looked after and children who were looked after, but ceased to be so because they were adopted (or became subject to a child arrangements orders or a special guardianship order).
Children for whom it can be demonstrated that they have a particular medical or social need to go to the school, this includes children previously from abroad who were cared for by the state because he or she would not otherwise have been cared for adequately and subsequently adopted.
Children with a sibling already at the school at the time of application.
Children of staff.
Children whose permanent residence is located within postcodes WD3-7, WD17-19, WD23-25, AL2 (south of M25), HA6, HA5 3, HA5 4, HA3 6, HA7 3, HA7 4.
