New 11+ practice papers are sent out via email every Friday. You can sign up to receive these, every week, using the form above.
Exam Information
Exam style — School’s own exam + CAT4.
Exam types:
English
Verbal Reasoning
Non-verbal Reasoning
Exam length — 90 minutes (CAT4) + English exam.
The CAT4 test is composed of 8 short tests assessing the following subsections of the four areas above:
Figure Classification (10 mins)
Figure Matrices (10 mins)
Verbal Classification (8 mins)
Verbal Analogies (8 mins)
Number Analogies (10 mins)
Number Series (8 mins)
Figure Analysis (9 mins)
Figure Recognition (9 mins)
Other exam information:
Registration must be filled out online before the deadline.
Following registration, candidates are invited to a taster day to help them become more familiar with the school. A taster stay will be available for boarding school applicants.
The candidate will be required to provide a report from their current school and will be required to sit an interview.
Assessment exams will take place in the Autumn/winter of Year 6.
An offer will be made based on successful completion of the assessment exam with a satisfactory mark, the interview, and a positive school report.
If an offer is placed, the parents should complete and return the Acceptance Form before the deadline.
